Nigel Dennis Kayaks, Lendal, Kōkatat, AMCOM and Datema Amsterdam have generously sponsored us and we are very grateful for their support.
Nigel Dennis Kayaks
Sea Kayaking UK Ltd. is providing us both with a NDK Explorer and a NDK GreenlanderPro sea kayak for the expedition. NDK sea kayaks are superbly suited for expeditions because of ease of handling in rough seas, their speed and load carrying capacity. NDK sea kayaks have been tested rigorously throughout the years at the Anglesey Sea & Surf Centre, in the rough waters around Anglesey and have proven themselves on numerous expeditions all over the world.
Lendal has a reputation of highly innovative, high quality paddles made with advanced materials. We will use the Lendal Paddlok system. This allows us to configure our paddles the way we want for a given day.
Decades of quality production, exceptional design and outstanding service make Kōkatat the leading choice for paddlers all over the world. Kōkatat has been first to offer a women's and children's line in paddle sports and is the most extensive at that. We will use GORE-TEX®-XCR®-TecTOUR Anoraks, OutFIT and ProFIT-TOUR PFD's and accessories, UV protective InnerCore tops and more.
AMCOM is the BeNeLux distributor of ICOM marine equipment. The new ICOM IC-M87 waterproof portable VHF radio, compact in size and with low energy consumption, is ideal for use from a sea kayak. For equipment that is not waterproof by itself, AMCOM supplies us with Aquapac® waterproof cases.
Datema Amsterdam is the main Dutch Agent for nautical charts and publications. They will supply us with the nautical charts neccessary for navigating the Dutch North Sea coast, tide tables and the chartbook for the inland waterways of Brabant.
The expedition 'Around the Netherlands by Sea Kayak' will raise a lot of interest. If you would like to sponsor the trip then please contact either Axel or Nico.
